Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal pieces within the roofing industry according to drawings and specifications.
Sheet Metal Department – Fabrication Position
- Wage depends on experience
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute sheet metal work.
- Must have Brake Press experience
- Must be a team player who is dependable and reliable
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Weight handling can be over 25 lbs
- Ability to learn and follow our extensive safety policy
- Intermediate English skills
Responsibilities of Fabrication Positions:
- Oversee and coordinate sheet metal fabrication
- Operate metalworking machines to bend, cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to metal profile
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication with at least 2 years of previous experience
- In-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials, tools, and techniques
- Strong understanding of roofing and construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Experience using Brake press machinery a must.
- Relevant trade certification or equivalent experience is an asset.
