Senior Project Manager – Facility Transfer & StartupPosition Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex facility transfers, industrialization projects, and manufacturing startup activities. This role requires a strong combination of project management, operations leadership, and technical expertise to ensure successful execution of facility consolidations, production transfers, and ramp-ups while maintaining business continuity, quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and capable of removing roadblocks across operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, ERP, facilities, and production.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project Leadership
- Lead facility transfer, consolidation, and startup projects from planning through execution.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, critical paths, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
- Drive execution to achieve schedule, cost, quality, and revenue objectives.
- Lead governance reviews with executives and stakeholders.
Technical & Operational Leadership
- Identify and remove technical, operational, and organizational roadblocks.
- Support manufacturing readiness, equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning.
- Coordinate production transfers, industrialization activities, and startup plans.
- Challenge assumptions and drive practical solutions to execution issues.
Manufacturing & Industrialization
- Support layout development, material flow, capacity planning, and workforce ramp-up.
- Coordinate process validation, FAI, production readiness, and operational qualification.
- Ensure work instructions, tooling, equipment, and training plans are in place before production startup.
ERP & Systems Deployment
- Support ERP implementation and manufacturing system readiness.
- Coordinate master data, routings, inventory transfers, planning parameters, and system cutovers.
- Ensure operational continuity during transition periods.
Team Leadership
- Coach project teams and functional leaders.
- Coordinate engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, facilities, and IT resources.
- Create accountability and drive execution across multiple functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 10+ years of manufacturing, operations, industrialization, or project management experience.
- Proven experience leading facility transfers, plant startups, or major operational transformations.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment, production systems, quality systems, ERP systems, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent leadership and executive communication skills.
- PMP certification is an asset.
