Food Counter Attendant – Part-Time Evening
Amarè Pastry Shop is looking for a reliable, organized and friendly Part-Time Food Counter Attendant to join our team.
This role is mainly responsible for serving customers, preparing dessert cups, managing delivery orders and completing all closing duties so the store is clean, organized and ready for the next day.
Pay: $17.95/hour
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings and Saturday
Thursday & Friday: Off

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers
- Take customer orders
- Process cash and card payments through the POS
- Prepare and assemble Amarè dessert cups
- Manage and prepare Uber Eats and DoorDash orders
- Package delivery orders accurately
- Communicate with delivery drivers when needed
- Keep counters and preparation areas clean and sanitized
- Restock cups, lids, spoons, napkins, bags, toppings and other supplies
- Properly store products at the end of the night
- Check produce and ingredients for freshness
- Dispose of food or produce that will not be suitable for the following day
- Clean and sanitize the sink, counters and food-preparation areas
- Wash used utensils and equipment
- Sweep and mop the store
- Empty garbage bins and replace them with new bags
- Keep the customer area clean and organized
- Complete closing cash/POS procedures
- Check and close out Uber Eats and DoorDash orders
- Update the store board with items that are low, out of stock or need preparation
- Report any issues to the owner/manager
- Complete the final closing walkthrough
- Make sure the store is properly secured and locked before leaving

- Able to multitask between in-store and delivery orders

- Able to follow a closing checklist
- Food service or customer service experience is an asset
Important
No baking is required for this position.
Baking and major dessert production are handled by the owner.
The main focus of this role is:
