Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Refinisher to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for restoring vehicle exteriors to their original condition through precise refinishing techniques. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with various tools and automotive systems. The Auto Body Refinisher plays a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive high-quality repairs and exceptional service.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primer, paint, and clear coats using spray guns and hand tools with precision
- Repair or replace damaged panels and parts as needed before refinishing
- Use power tools and hand tools to smooth surfaces and achieve a flawless finish
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals, paints, and equipment
- Inspect finished work for quality control, ensuring adherence to industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectations
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle body systems and repairs
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment for refinishing tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials
- Familiarity with automotive painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Mechanic experience is a plus, providing a broader understanding of vehicle systems
- Attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
