Position Summary
Sylvite is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Operator – Forklift/Shipping to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts and reach trucks, preparing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and reach trucks to load, unload, move, and store materials.
- Receive, inspect, and distribute incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and shipping activities.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
- Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating forklifts and reach trucks.
- Valid forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for inventory and shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active warehouse environment.
