Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and strong organizational skills to support the company's financial health and compliance. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting budgeting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis activities.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Record and categorize financial transactions accurately, including expenses and income
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies
- Conduct account analysis to monitor financial performance and prepare reports for management
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against forecasts
- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal use and external audits
- Maintain organized records of all financial documents in compliance with company policies
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll procedures, and financial reporting standards
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Ability to perform account analysis and support budgeting processes effectively
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Prior experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis is highly desirable
