Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Painter to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality paint jobs. Your expertise will ensure our vehicles look flawless and meet customer satisfaction standards.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure a smooth and even paint application
- Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using spray guns and other painting equipment
- Match paint colors accurately and blend paint for seamless repairs
- Use masking techniques to protect areas not to be painted, ensuring clean lines and quality finish
- Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections before painting
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain and calibrate painting tools and equipment regularly
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Inspect finished vehicles for quality and consistency, making touch-ups as needed
- Document work progress and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements
- Proven experience as a vehicle painter or automotive painter
- Strong knowledge of paint types, mixing, and application techniques
- Ability to match colors and blend paint seamlessly
- Familiarity with masking and surface preparation techniques
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPE
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus
