Executive Director
Kamloops Volleyball Association (KVA)
The Kamloops Volleyball Association (KVA) is seeking an organized, energetic, and community-minded individual to join our organization as Executive Director.
The Executive Director will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation and continued growth of volleyball in the Kamloops community. This position oversees KVA’s youth and adult programming, including competitive, recreational, ladies, and beach volleyball, while working closely with the KVA Board of Directors, volunteers, coaches, officials, convenors, athletes, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of all KVA programs and divisions
- Coordinate adult competitive, adult recreational, ladies, youth, and beach volleyball programs
- Supervise and support league convenors and assistants
- Book and coordinate facilities and venues
- Develop and manage facility schedules for leagues and programs
- Coordinate the purchase of equipment, uniforms, and jerseys
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for KVA programs and divisions
- Work closely with the KVA bookkeeper on financial administration and reporting
- Report regularly to the KVA Board of Directors and attend monthly Board meetings
- Work collaboratively with Volleyball BC and other volleyball organizations
- Support the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that contribute to the growth of volleyball in Kamloops
- Provide leadership and support to volunteers, coaches, convenors, officials, and other KVA personnel
- Ensure KVA programs operate efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with association policies
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with volunteers and community organizations
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, purchasing, and general administration
- A strong understanding and appreciation of volleyball
- The ability to manage multiple programs, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- The ability to work independently while reporting effectively to a Board of Directors
- Previous experience in sport administration or a non-profit organization is considered an asset

Wage: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
