Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stamping Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining stamping presses to produce high-quality metal components efficiently and safely. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the precision, safety, and productivity of our manufacturing processes. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor stamping presses to produce metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure proper production.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and measurement devices to verify dimensions and quality of finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on stamping equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and press brakes.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations.
- Maintain accurate production records and document any machine adjustments or issues encountered.
- Assist with material handling tasks including loading raw materials using cranes or forklifts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for efficiency and safety.
Experience
- Proven experience operating stamping presses or similar manufacturing machinery in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and other CNC equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical assembly processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency with calipers, hand tools, and other machining measurement instruments.
- Understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with quality inspection procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
