Job Title: Pipefitters (Journeyman & Apprentices)
Number of Openings: 5+
Job Type: Full-Time/Temporary
Minimum Level of Education: Journeyman Certificate or Registered Apprentice Levels 1,2,&3
Years of Related Experience: 3+
Locations to be Supported: Sturgeon Fabrication Shop and various sites Fort Sask/Red Water area.
Duration: Long term work available
Shift: 4 -10's Mon-Thurs & 8hrs OT Friday (Weekend work will also be avail as required)
Position Summary
We are seeking Journeyman & Apprentice Pipefitters to work out of our shop in Fort Saskatchewan, AB supporting various sites in the area. The successful candidate will report to the site foreman and general Foreman.
Responsibilities include:

Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality.

Calculating weight of materials and/or spools to ensure proper equipment is used.

Reading and interpreting client- and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.

Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and assembling and installing piping, valves, and fittings.

Joining pipe sections/related equipment and securing in position.

Using testing equipment to check systems for leaks.

Complying with ONEX’s and client safety policies and procedures.

Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs, nights, and overtime upon client request.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Certified Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice.
- 3-5 years of applicable experience.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be capable of physical labour.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
- Organizational and time management skills.
