Presently, we are looking fill a vacant Human Resources Associate position within our Listowel Head Office.
Within this position, you will be involved in the daily HR activities for a past paced, ever changing and dynamic company. Due to business needs and the interest of our employees, this position is required to be within our head office.
As part of the Human Resources team, your primary focus will be Health & Safety, however you will also be cross-trained in all HR functions, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Health & Safety Program administration
- Manage WSIB claims and workplace incident reporting
- Create modified work and return to work plans for WSIB injuries
- Prepare quarterly Health & Safety reports
- Participate in quarterly Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings
- Support employee engagement, training, and development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and health and safety regulations
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, performance, and workplace issues
- Support employee engagement, training, and development initiatives
- Maintain HR records, metrics, and ad hoc reporting
- Have a strong understanding of the group benefits plan, leave of absence, and payroll processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all dealings within the department
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Health & Safety, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of HR and or Health & Safety experience
- Human Resources Designation- CHRP, CHRL is an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Understand Human Resources concepts and corporate HR protocol
