Role Overview
As our Medical Esthetician, you will deliver a range of advanced, clinical-grade skin care treatments under the oversight of the clinic's Nurse Practitioner and Dermatologist. You will work as part of an integrated aesthetics team to provide exceptional, evidence-based skin health services to a discerning, health-motivated clientele.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Skin Treatments
- Perform medical-grade facial treatments: chemical peels (superficial, medium-depth), microdermabrasion, microneedling (dermapen), and enzyme treatments
- Administer laser and light-based therapies (IPL, LED phototherapy, low-level laser) under NP or physician authorization and oversight
- Deliver body aesthetics treatments: body contouring, cellulite reduction, skin tightening, and lymphatic drainage facials
- Perform professional waxing, tinting, dermaplaning, and advanced extractions
- Administer pre- and post-procedure skin prep and aftercare protocols for injectable clients (Botox, filler, biostimulators)
Skin Consultation & Client Education
- Conduct thorough skin analysis consultations using advanced skin analysis tools
- Develop individualized skin treatment plans aligned with the client's goals and medical aesthetics team recommendations
- Educate clients on at-home skincare regimens, product recommendations, and lifestyle factors affecting skin health
- Support informed consent processes and pre-treatment skin preparation protocols
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate client treatment records and product usage notes in Jane App EMR
- Operate all clinic aesthetic equipment according to manufacturer protocols and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment suite at all times
- Adhere to Ontario esthetics regulations and clinic infection control standards
QualificationsRequired
- Ontario Esthetician License (Basic and Advanced, or equivalent provincial certification)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical or medical esthetics experience
- Proficiency in chemical peels, microneedling, and at least one advanced energy-based device
- Current CPR/AED certification (Basic Life Support level minimum)
- Clear criminal background check
Preferred (Strong Asset)
- Medical esthetics certificate or diploma from a recognized Canadian institution
- Experience with laser and IPL devices; manufacturer certifications preferred
- Familiarity with injectable pre- and post-care protocols (Botox, dermal fillers)
- Experience with advanced skincare brands (ZO Skin Health, SkinMedica, Alumier, PCA Skin, or equivalent)
- Comfort with EMR systems; experience with Jane App is a strong asset
- Bilingual (English + French, Arabic, or Punjabi) is an advantage given local community demographics
Pay: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
