Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator/Labourer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery and assisting with production processes to ensure efficient and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality standards. Duties
- Operate production machinery and monitor products moving along the conveyor/belt line.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while operating equipment.
- Monitor the production line to ensure products are moving properly and efficiently.
- Perform visual quality checks to identify damaged, defective, or incorrectly produced products.
- Remove defective products from the production line and report quality issues to the supervisor.
- Pick products from the production line according to production requirements.
- Pack finished products into boxes, containers, or other designated packaging.
- Apply labels accurately to products and packages.
- Check labels for accuracy, including product information and quantities.
Skills
- Previous experience in a machine operator, production, warehouse, or general labour role is an asset.
- Ability to operate machinery and work safely around production equipment.
- Good attention to detail for quality inspection and labelling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move products/materials as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime or different shifts when required.
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
