Ritch-Meyer Machine & Tool Inc. requires a Mold Maker who will be responsible to inspect, maintain, Modify and repair plastic injection and diecast tooling.
Job Duties
- Disassemble mold tooling for cleaning and repair.
- Works from blue prints, sketches, general instructions to disassemble, inspect, repair, and assemble plastic injection and diecast molds.
- Performs final fitting and spotting operations.
- Effectively develop and produce mold components as per detail drawings using tool room equipment.
- Performs the highly critical assembly operations, refitting, reventing or making adjustments as necessary for the mold to achieve designed objectives.
- Repairing tool related breakdowns.
- Co-ordinates die repair and preventative maintenance scheduling in order to meet job deadlines.
- Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
- Maintains equipment maintenance and repair history records, details of work performed, parts replaced, and the labor hours, as required.
- Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with provincial and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Understanding of machinery and mold creation
- Experience with plastic injection and diecast molds (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of applicable safety rules.
