Role Overview
The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the clinic by providing administrative, organizational, and patient-care coordination support. MOAs are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, efficiency, and excellent communication while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors, and physicians in a professional and respectful manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments.
- Manage physician schedules and appointment templates.
- Scan, upload, fax, and file medical documents accurately.
- Process referrals, requisitions, and consultation requests.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system.
- Ensure patient statuses are updated correctly during check-in and rooming.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and administrative areas.
- Monitor office and medical supply inventory.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, management, and clinic staff.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and coworkers.
- Arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance.
- Follow clinic policies, procedures, and workflow expectations.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare or clinic operations preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Very strong interpersonal and customer service skills..
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
