We are looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Optometric Assistant to join our team. You'll play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy optometry practice.
Previous experience in an optometry, optical, or medical office is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage front desk duties.
- Collect patient history and update electronic medical records.
- Perform pre-testing before eye examinations.
- Assist the optometrist and support patient care.
- Help patients choose frames, lenses, and other optical products.
- Process insurance claims, payments, and assist with inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and work collaboratively with the team.
Qualifications
- Experience in an optometry, optical, retail, or medical office is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, reliable, and a team player.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
