Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our culinary operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food handling to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support food service operations by organizing supplies and ensuring timely delivery of prepared items
- Follow proper food safety procedures during all stages of food handling and preparation
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Experience with food handling, kitchen cleanliness, and basic food industry standards is desirable
- Previous roles involving serving or assisting in a busy kitchen setting will be considered a plus
