Terrain Group is currently seeking a hardworking and motivated Landscape Labourer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work alongside our landscaping crew to assist with a variety of residential and commercial landscaping projects.
This is a hands-on outdoor position suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working as part of a team, and seeing the results of their work. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
We use AI-assisted tools to help identify and match applicants to our open roles. This may include reviewing resumes and suggesting potential matches. All final hiring decisions are made by humans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with landscaping, property maintenance, and site preparation
- Assist with planting, grading, sod installation, and other landscaping tasks
- Perform digging, shovelling, raking, lifting, and general labour duties
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools; maintain site cleanliness
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow instructions from the crew lead and adhere to all safety standards
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience performing landscaping, landscape construction, property maintenance, outdoor construction, or general labour work
- Experience using hand tools and power tools on job sites
- Previous experience involving lifting and carrying materials, shovelling, digging, raking, loading and unloading, and other repetitive physical work
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions; comfort working outdoors for full workdays is an asset
- Experience with site preparation tasks such as digging, excavation, grading, levelling, soil preparation, drainage, material spreading, measuring, and site cleanup preferred
- Experience in fencing, construction, excavation, concrete, agriculture, road construction, utilities, hardscaping, roofing, demolition, moving or material handling, or building supply work is an asset
- Skidsteer and MiniX experience an asset
