Dhillon Law Firm PC is a modern real estate-focused law practice led by a lawyer with both legal and brokerage experience.
We are seeking a motivated Law Clerk or Licensed Paralegal who is looking for more than a traditional salaried role — someone interested in building within a growing practice.
This is a contract-based, performance-driven opportunity designed for individuals who value flexibility, autonomy, and long-term growth over fixed compensation structures.
You will work directly with the Principal Lawyer on active files, while also having the opportunity to grow your own client base within the firm’s infrastructure.
This role requires a highly organized professional who can work independently, manage multiple files, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential and/or commercial real estate transactions
- Manage files from opening to closing
- Prepare and review legal documents
- Communicate with clients, lenders, and other parties
- Support the Principal Lawyer on active matters
- (Optional) Contribute to business development and client growth
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in Ontario real estate law
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process
- Familiarity with Teraview, Unity, or similar systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of files
Qualifications
- Law Clerk or Paralegal diploma (or equivalent legal education)
- Strong working knowledge of real estate legal procedures and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
- Professional communication skills with a client-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple files with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in legal and real estate software systems
Compensation Structure
- This is a contract position with compensation based on a per-file and/or revenue-split model
- Additional earning potential for candidates who contribute to client growth
- No fixed salary and no cap on earning potential
If you are looking for a traditional salaried position, this role is likely not a fit.
If you are looking to grow, take ownership of your work, and be part of building a practice with long-term upside, we welcome your application.
