Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will play a vital role in delivering outstanding hospitality and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained in all service areas
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions confidently
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols in the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and billing purposes
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Upselling skills to recommend additional menu items or specials that enhance the guest experience
