Job Overview for Spa Esthetician:
The Esthetician’s primary responsibility is to provide professional services offered by Miraj Hammam Spa which may include treatments such as facials, manicures, pedicures, and body treatments, using the procedures, standards and expectations established by Miraj Hammam Spa.
Where applicable, you must recommend a maintenance program and products to be used at home, to give guests instructions on how to use the products and help them obtain and maintain their goals for a healthy mind and body, while providing, 100% guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Accredited certification in Esthetics.
- A minimum 2 years of experience.
- Fluency in English both written and verbal. Proficiency in other languages would be an asset.
- Computer literate and experience working with Book4Time is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays, including overtime as required.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and work ethic. Previous esthetics experience preferred.
- Prior experience with Biologique Recherche an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Manicures and pedicures, including polish application and nail care.
- Customized facials tailored to client needs.
- Perform body treatments including exfoliation rituals and body wraps within a traditional hammam setting. These treatments require working in a consistently warm, humid environment for extended periods of time.
- Educate clients on skincare and recommend suitable products.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized work area in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by offering personalized and attentive care.
Working Conditions:
- Comfortable performing treatments in a warm, humid, high-heat hammam environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to lift and carry spa supplies and linens.
- Comfortable working with water, steam, and skincare products.
Compensation:
Total compensation is made up of three components - hourly wage, service commission, and gratuities.
Commuting:
We are a 2 minute walk from Osgoode and St. Andrew's TTC stations. We are located one stop away from Union Station. Please note, we do not provide parking.
