Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects by performing physical tasks, supporting skilled tradespeople, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to successful project completion.
Duties
- Assist with the loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing tools
- Carry out manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople as needed
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all team members
- Maintain cleanliness of the work site throughout the project duration
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of temporary structures or barriers
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear at all times
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
