We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math & Physics Teacher to join our academic team for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will teach Ontario Secondary School Curriculum courses in Mathematics and Physics at the high school level. The teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, supporting student achievement, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high school Mathematics and Physics courses following the Ontario curriculum.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and student needs.
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, labs, and projects.
- Provide academic support and constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and performance.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is required.
- Master’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching high school students is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience supporting ESL or international students is considered an asset.
