Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. This role is essential in supporting the overall operation of our restaurant or hotel, contributing to a positive guest experience through excellent food handling and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and setup
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in line with established procedures
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by providing timely cleaning services
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation regulations
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations including food preparation and cooking is a plus
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings or weekends if required
- Ability to speak or understand basic Korean is considered an asset
