Kelowna Dental Centre is hiring Certified Dental Assistants - up to four seats, $33 to $40 per hour.
We're adding associates and extending our hours, so more chairs are running more of the day. That needs more assistants, and three of the seats are specific:
IV sedation (1-2 seats). We run a sedation program and need CDAs who hold the IV sedation module - you will use it every week, not once a quarter. If you don't hold it and want to, we'll put you through the certification. Say so in your application; wanting it counts.
Orthodontics (1 seat). One CDA with the orthodontic module, working chairside with our certified specialist orthodontist.
General / restorative (1-2 seats). The rest of the practice: crown and bridge, surgical, hygiene support.
Sterilization is handled by dedicated steri staff, so instruments are not your second job.
And the work goes somewhere. CBCT, TRIOS Lumina, Micron Mapper photogrammetry, our own lab in the building with its own technicians, and a full-arch surgical program with 146 cases behind it. If you've been assisting on the same six procedures for three years and want to learn guided full-arch, IV sedation monitoring and full-mouth rehab properly, there is very little else in the Interior where you can.
$33-$40/hr depending on experience and modules; IV-certified and ortho-module CDAs start at the top of the band. Extended health at 50% employer-paid. Uniform allowance. Full-time or part-time - we build the schedule around the person.
Requirements: CDA certification and current BCCOHP registration. Modules as above are an asset, not a gate - we will train the right person into them.
