Operations Manager – Systems & Automation
RF Transparent is a growing company specializing in glass railing systems and building-materials distribution. As our operations continue to expand across multiple Canadian provinces and the United States, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Systems & Automation who combines strong leadership, hands-on execution, and practical experience using AI to improve business operations.
We are looking for a builder and problem-solver—not only a manager.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving systems, solving operational problems, and using modern technology to make teams more efficient.
The successful candidate does not need to be an AI engineer or software developer. However, they must have hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional or business environment. This may include using tools such as Claude, Claude Code/CLI, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, automation platforms, or AI-assisted software to improve workflows, analyze information, build internal tools, reduce repetitive work, or solve operational problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across operations, logistics, administration, and project execution
- Improve workflows, processes, and operational systems to increase efficiency and scalability
- Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, repetitive tasks, and communication issues
- Develop and implement practical solutions independently
- Use AI tools to improve reporting, documentation, data analysis, follow-ups, customer service, internal communication, and administrative workflows
- Identify business processes that can be standardized, simplified, or automated
- Help build internal tools, automated workflows, dashboards, databases, and data-driven processes
- Improve the company’s use of ERP, CRM, inventory, accounting, project-management, and communication systems
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and team organization in collaboration with HR
- Participate in the planning and execution of growth initiatives and infrastructure projects
- Support logistics, inventory coordination, purchasing, and operational planning when required
- Document procedures and create systems that can be followed consistently by the team
- Maintain a hands-on leadership approach and actively support employees when operational challenges arise
- Evaluate new AI and automation tools based on their practical value to the business
Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in operations, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, construction supply, or another multidisciplinary environment
- Demonstrated experience leading and organizing teams
- Hands-on professional experience using AI tools to improve workflows, productivity, decision-making, or business processes
- Ability to provide concrete examples of how AI has been used to solve operational or administrative problems
- Comfortable using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar AI platforms
- Experience improving workflows, procedures, and operational systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and a highly resourceful, solution-oriented mindset
- Comfortable learning unfamiliar software and using technology to solve business problems
- Experience with hiring, onboarding, training, or personnel management
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
- Comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with direct, hands-on execution
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills
- Ability to take initiative and move projects forward without waiting for detailed instructions
Strong Assets
- Experience using Claude Code/CLI, AI coding assistants, or command-line tools
- Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or Power Automate
- Basic familiarity with APIs, databases, SQL, Python, webhooks, or system integrations
- Experience with ERP, CRM, inventory, warehouse-management, or accounting systems
- Experience creating automated reports, dashboards, forms, templates, or internal tools
- Experience in building materials, construction supply, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics
- Experience helping an organization scale across multiple locations or markets
- Experience with process mapping, continuous improvement, or digital-transformation projects

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
