We're looking for compassionate and dependable Health Care Aides to become part of an established care team supporting a client in Onoway.

As part of a dedicated 24-hour care team, you'll work alongside other caregivers to ensure seamless, consistent support and continuity of care for the client and their family.
This role is ideal for caregivers who value relationship-based care and enjoy supporting clients with their daily routines, companionship, personal care needs, meal preparation, mobility support, and helping them remain safe and comfortable in their own home.

Schedule & Availability
We are currently hiring Health Care Aides who can provide consistent availability for either daytime shifts, overnight shifts, or both.
Day Shifts
- 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Available 7 days per week
Overnight Shifts
- 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
- Available 7 days per week

Preference may be given to applicants who can provide consistent availability and commit to a regular schedule to help promote continuity of care for the client.
What You'll Do
Every client is unique, but responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Supporting mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention.
- Providing medication assistance within the Health Care Aide scope of practice.
- Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Monitoring for changes in the client's health or wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly.
- Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Completing accurate, detailed, and timely documentation.
- Working independently while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and compassion.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Health Care Aide Certificate.
- Current CLHA registration in good standing.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle to travel to the client's home in Onoway.
Experience & Skills
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 2 years of Health Care Aide experience preferred.
- Experience providing care to seniors in a home care, supportive living, or long-term care setting.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care.
- Excellent observation and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with confidence and sound judgment.
- Experience working collaboratively within a care team.
- The ability to adapt to each client's unique routines, preferences, and goals.
