About You: The ideal candidate is confident in core technical skills—particularly anesthesia, dentistry, and surgical support—and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality patient care. You will play a key role in supporting our veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and treatments while ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients at all times.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a crucial temporary team member, you’ll lead our technical team and support our veterinarians by utilizing your full skill set including:
- Reviewing anesthesia protocols/drug and hydration calculations/prescriptions
- Performing anesthesia monitoring (modern equipment)
- Providing technical support during examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Performing dental prophylaxis and imaging using new dental hygiene equipment and digital dental x-ray (purchased in December 2025)
- Independently managing and performing tech appointment procedures (with assistance from experienced Veterinary Assistants)
- Evaluating post-surgical pain control and monitoring patient recovery
- Advocating for patient comfort and safety
- Communicating with clients
- Collaborating with a supportive team, including some supervision of qualified veterinary assistants who will assist with delegated tasks
- Maintaining Control Drug logbooks
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Veterinary Technologist who is reliable, responsible and works autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong technical and clinical skills, especially in anesthesia, dentistry and surgery
- A calm, confident, and compassionate approach to patient care
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Fear-free patient handling skills; Fear Free Certification is not required but can become Certified with CE budget after probation period is satisfied
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday work week
- Flexible 4- or 5-day schedule
- Dayshift – core hours
- No on-call shifts
- No weekend work
- No after hours or extended hours coverage
