ABOUT THE ROLE:
Summary:
St’át’imc Government Services (SGS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Administrator to lead and oversee all aspects of organizational operations. Reporting directly to the SGS Board of Directors and working closely with the St’át’imc Chiefs Council Chairs, this senior leadership role is responsible for strategic planning, financial and human resource management, and ensuring effective delivery of programs and services aligned with SGS and SCC goals.
The Administrator is responsible for the management and coordination of staff, ensuring all operations are carried out effectively and efficiently in the best interest of the St’át’imc Nation as mandated by the St’át’imc Chiefs Council. Primary responsibilities include providing leadership, direction, and management expertise on initiatives towards achievement of St’át’imc Chiefs Council’s mandate on title, rights, responsibilities, and recognition of our inherent jurisdictions and strengthening St’át’imc self-governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizational Leadership & Operations
- Lead the planning, development, and management of administrative, financial, and operational functions
- Ensure all activities align with SCC strategic plans and objectives
- Ensure all activities align with SGS strategic plans and approved annual work plans
- Develop and maintain organizational systems, policies, and processes
- Strategic Planning & Governance
- Support updating, tracking, and implementation of the SCC strategic plan
- Prepare annual work plans and budgets for SGS Board approval
- Provide technical support and recommendations to the Board of Directors and St’át’imc Chiefs Council Chairs
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the SGS Board
- Financial & Resource Management
- Oversee financial systems including budgeting, invoicing, collections, and reporting
- Ensure effective use of organizational resources to improve outcomes
- Maintain compliance with legislative, policy, and funding requirements
- Human Resources & Team Leadership
- Manage HR functions in accordance with policies and legislation
- Support staff development, performance management, and organizational capacity building
- Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture
- Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain partnerships with communities, stakeholders, and clients
- Represent SGS at meetings and community events
- Support Board and community capacity development initiatives
ABOUT YOU:
Qualification:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance, HR, or related field) or equivalent education
- Minimum 5+ years of management experience including HR and financial management
- Strong understanding of business planning and financial oversight
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic planning and organizational leadership
- Financial and business management expertise
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software (e.g., Xyntax, Sage/ACCPAC)
Experience
- Management and project management experience
- Business and financial planning (including pro-forma development)

- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

Salary is based on experience and qualifications. Must be able to submit criminal record check and driving abstracts.
