Radiant Life Naturopathic Centre is looking for an organized, personable, and proactive Medical Office Assistant to join our Kamloops clinic full-time.
This is an active, hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent patient service and can confidently manage several priorities throughout the day.
You don't necessarily need a Medical Office Assistant certificate to be successful in this position. MOA training or certification is preferred; however, relevant medical-office, healthcare, administrative or patient-service experience will also be considered.
We're looking for someone who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative and follows through—while also understanding the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, established clinic procedures and teamwork.
The position combines front reception, patient scheduling, medical administration, billing, clinic organization and practitioner support.
What You'll Be Doing:
Patient Service & Front Reception
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional and timely manner.
- Help create a comfortable and positive experience for patients throughout their visit.
- Respond to appointment requests received by phone, email, online booking, the clinic website, and in person.
- Confirm appointments and coordinate patient scheduling.
- Answer incoming calls professionally and respond to patient inquiries.
- Monitor voicemail and ensure messages are returned promptly.
- Coordinate patient follow-up and practitioner communications as required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Scheduling & Medical Administration
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using Jane App.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient information and medical records.
- Organize practitioner schedules based on appointment type, required appointment length and individual booking requirements.
- Prepare and process administrative documentation including: patient intake information, laboratory requisitions and reports, diagnostic imaging documentation, prescriptions, referrals and referral correspondence, and other patient documentation as required.
- Prepare paperwork and documentation for upcoming appointments.
- Complete accurate data entry and maintain organized patient records.
Billing & Payment Administration
- Process patient payments.
- Process credit, debit and cash payments and issue receipts through Jane App.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with patients when required.
- Prepare reports for practitioners as required.
- Complete end of day reports from POS terminal and Jane App.
Practitioner & Clinical Support
This position includes practical clinic support in addition to traditional front-office MOA responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, clean, disinfect and restock treatment rooms and the IV suite.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms for appointments.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures under practitioner supervision when required.
- Ensure required paperwork and supplies are prepared in advance.
- Maintain appropriate levels of medical, clinic and office supplies.
- Order, receive and track supplies and packages.
- Assist with inventory management for the dispensary, IV suite, treatment areas and other clinic supplies.
- Provide patients with clinic-approved instructions regarding laboratory or testing kits.
- Ensure returned samples and related documentation are complete before submission.
- Help maintain a clean, organized and professional clinic environment.

- Has experience with scheduling, patient-management or CRM software.
- Types approximately 60+ words per minute.
Preferred Experience
The following would be considered assets:
- Medical Office Assistant certificate or related training.
- Previous experience in a medical, naturopathic, chiropractic, physiotherapy, dental or other healthcare clinic.
- Experience using Jane App.
- Experience with medical-office scheduling.
- Experience with direct insurance billing.
- Experience processing patient payments and accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, referrals, prescriptions, laboratory requisitions or patient records.
- Experience supporting healthcare practitioners in a clinical setting.
- An MOA certificate is preferred but is not required for the right candidate with relevant skills and experience.
Position Details
Full-time, permanent position.
Monday to Friday.
8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. on Fridays)
No statutory holiday shifts.
In-person position at Radiant Life Naturopathic Centre in Kamloops, BC.
$19.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
