The Opportunity
The Master Data Analyst will support cross-functional teams in developing, maintaining, and improving master data governance across the organization to support business growth with a high level of quality, service, and efficiency.
Reporting to the Manager, Inventory Control and Analytics, this role within the Supply Chain department will help implement best-practice data solutions and improve systems and processes to support agility, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data stream mapping by identifying key stakeholders, data owners, and key parameters within the company’s systems.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators for master data quality and business performance.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Sales, Production, Engineering, and IT to design efficient workflows for data entry, maintenance, and approval.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in data management practices to maintain master data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Define and maintain ERP master data configuration required to support business operations, including MRP parameters, cost parameters, item masters, engineering masters, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Create, review, and maintain engineering masters and BOMs in the ERP system to support accurate planning, costing, production, inventory control, and advanced MRP planning processes.
- Partner with IT and business users to ensure master data structures align with system capabilities, reporting needs, and process requirements.
- Support alignment between ERP master data and advanced planning systems to enable accurate material planning, supply planning, and reporting.
- Support reporting and analysis using Excel and Microsoft Power BI to improve visibility of master data performance and related business metrics.
- Perform other duties as required to support the overall business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Data Management, Master Data, or a related business systems role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Data Management, Master Data, or a related business systems role.
- Proficient in ERP systems and fundamentals, such as Visual, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Experience creating and maintaining ERP master data, including item masters, planning parameters, engineering masters, and BOMs.
- Working knowledge of MRP and advanced planning system requirements, including the data inputs needed to support effective planning outputs.
- Strong understanding of master data governance, data quality, and business process requirements.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI for creating, maintaining, or publishing analytical reports and dashboards.
Nice to Have
- APICS CPIM, CSCP certification, or equivalent supply chain certification.
- Exposure to S&OP, IBP, demand planning, or related planning processes.
- Previous ERP implementation experience or experience transitioning from one ERP system to another.
- Experience with Power BI, data visualization, or basic process automation tools.
Total Rewards
The expected base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $85,000.
In addition to base compensation Cosmetica offers a competitive total rewards package which may include bonus eligibility, equity, benefits, retirement plans, paid time away from work, etc.
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
