We have an exciting opportunity in our Employee Service Centre for an Employee Lifecycle Specialist. Come join our Team!
The Employee Lifecycle Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day processing of employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, internal transfers/promotions, leaves of absence and termination/separation of employment. This role is also responsible for the administration of Health Benefit and Group Life Insurance Plans, investigating employee record and payroll discrepancies, and provides operational support across Employee Service Centre operations.
The incumbent will also:
- Process Employee Lifecycle Transactions (new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve identified errors
- Investigate payroll discrepancies related to lifecycle transactions and employee inquiries
- Accurately process ad-hoc requests, analysis and transactions
- Provide operational support to the Employee Experience Representatives, and colleagues across Employee Services and Systems
- Administration of Health Benefit Plans and Group Life Insurance Plans
- Maintain, store, and securely dispose of employee documentation in accordance with TTC records management and retention by laws
- Monitor lifecycle activity trends, identify risks ahead of payroll processing, and recommend mitigation strategies and process improvements
- Uses related systems and tools effectively to support lifecycle activities (SAP WorkZone, Case Management System (C4C), SuccessFactors (MyTTC | Home, MyTTC | Time), SAP Payroll, training/process material, etc.)
- Ensure service level agreement targets are met/exceeded
- Take full and complete ownership and accountability of the work/task being performed and maintains focus towards delivering a world-class employee experience, directly and indirectly
- Provide input/support for maintaining up-to-date SOPs, training and process documentation
- Maintain strict data security guidelines
- Review CRA and CPA updates to remain current on legislative changes; and implement manual processes to maintain compliance where system updates are delayed
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, or the equivalent in work experience, combined with several years of relevant experience such as payroll administration or HR Generalist experience, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
- High degree of knowledge and experience in delivery of customer service to a diverse clientele
- Solid understanding of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) as it pertains to leave of absence and termination process
- Ability to plan & prioritize workload based on process and payroll deadlines
- Detail-orientated, with solid mathematical skills; and ability to process high volume transactions within strict time limitations
- Ability to look up information and ensure compliance with TTC’s collective agreements and corporate policies
- Experience with SAP products (SuccessFactors- Employee Central, Learning Management, Recruitment/Onboarding, SAP Payroll/Benefits and C4C) and/or an aptitude to quickly learn several different software applications including Mainframe databases
- Outstanding communication skills to accurately process payroll information, deal with inquiries, and meet established deadlines
