Job Title: Naturopathic Doctor, Independent Practice Affiliate
Company: Beaches Therapy Group
Location: Virtual, East Toronto & Midtown ON
Job type: Contract · Freelance
Schedule: Choose your own hours
Registered Naturopathic Doctor's: We have a couple spots open to join our team!
We are a group of therapists, psychologists and allied health practitioners across three Toronto clinics, and for a while now we have been having the same conversation. A patient is doing good work in therapy. Their sleep is still broken. Their gut has been unhappy for two years. Their energy has not come back. And we find ourselves saying, you really should see a naturopathic doctor, and then realising we do not have one to send them to.
So we would like to find ours.
One thing to say plainly before you read on. This is not a salaried or hourly position, and it is not an associate role. It is an independent practice affiliation. You keep your own practice, your own CONO registration, your own clinical judgement, your own fees and your own patients. We provide the space (or there are virtual options), the platform, the administration, the billing and the marketing around all of it. Affiliates pay us a flat monthly membership fee plus a uniform share of billings processed through BTG. If you are looking for a salary, this will not be the right fit, and we would rather say so in the first line than in the third conversation.
If you are already running a practice and you are tired of doing every part of it alone, keep reading.
Who we are
Beaches Therapy Group is a heart-led, multidisciplinary mental health practice offering inclusive, evidence-based care in Toronto and virtually across Ontario. Over 50 clinicians work across our locations in The Beaches, Leslieville and Midtown, supporting individuals, couples, children, teens and families through anxiety, trauma, identity, relationships and burnout.
Our care is trauma-informed, 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming and culturally responsive. We believe healing happens through connection, growth is lifelong, and everyone deserves to feel safe, seen and supported.
What we are offering
Most independent practitioners hit the same wall. The clinical work is strong. The caseload is steady enough. And growth stops, because growing means a website that ranks, a newsletter that goes out, content that keeps coming, and a professional network that knows your name. Group practices hire people to do that. Solo practitioners do it at eleven at night, or not at all.
We already have that machinery. We would like to point it at your practice.
You would practice as our affiliate naturopathic doctor, with your own practice named alongside, like this:
Beaches Therapy Group Affiliate Naturopathic Doctor Dr. Amrita Singh, ND, Harbourview Naturopathic
Patients get the reassurance of an established practice. Your own name and reputation keep building the whole time. And if you ever decide to move on, you leave with your practice name and your patients intact. That matters to us, and we have written it into the agreement rather than just saying it here.
What comes with it
- A proper introduction, not a listing. When you join we announce you to our client newsletter, feature you across our channels, build your profile page with you, and brief our whole clinical team on who you are and what you do, so the people most likely to refer to you actually know you exist.
- Ongoing promotion. Recurring features in our newsletter and social channels. Help building and filling group programs and workshops. Support turning what you know into something publishable.
- A room that is ready. Comfortably furnished, cleaned, with reception during business hours. Virtual options if you would rather have no physical footprint at all.
- The back office, handled. Jane for booking, charting, telehealth and records. Payment processing and insurer direct billing. Intake, scheduling, rescheduling and reminders.
- Privacy compliance carried for you. BTG acts as Health Information Custodian under PHIPA for records created here, including training, consent, access requests and breach response. Records from your practice before affiliation stay yours.
- Colleagues. An optional monthly gathering where practitioners talk through cases and get to know each other. Voluntary, and not clinical supervision.
Why this might suit you in particular
The overlap between naturopathic medicine and what we see every day is not subtle. Sleep. Anxiety that shows up in the body long before anyone names it. Stress living in someone's gut. Hormonal shifts that make everything harder. Fatigue that nobody has fully worked up. Patients who have been told their bloodwork is fine and are quite sure it is not.
We see these patients constantly. What we can offer you is not a stream of strangers but people already engaged in their own care, working with clinicians who will understand what you do and why it matters.
Naturopathic services are covered by most extended health plans, and we take care of receipts and direct billing so that part stays simple.
What we are looking for
- Current registration with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, in good standing.
- Your own professional liability insurance meeting our minimum coverage, which we confirm at onboarding.
- An established patient caseload, or a clear service offering you are ready to build on. This is somewhere to grow a practice, not somewhere to start one from nothing.
- An integrative approach with an interest in mental health, and a genuine willingness to work alongside other disciplines.
The practical bits
In-clinic participation comes at a range of weekly commitment levels, and there are virtual options if you do not need a room.
Referrals within our network are made on clinical fit alone. We do not guarantee volume, but will make warm introductions based on fit.
Come and talk to us
Apply through Indeed, or just reach out. The first conversation is genuinely a conversation. We will walk you through the program, the tiers and the commercial terms, answer whatever you want to ask, and work out together whether this is right for both of us.
Pay: $80,000.00-$218,400.00 per year
