Experienced Dental Receptionist / Patient CoordinatorExcellent Compensation for an Exceptional Candidate
We are looking for an experienced, highly capable Dental Receptionist / Patient Coordinator who takes genuine pride in their work and wants to become an important part of a professional and caring dental team.
This is not simply a position for answering phones and booking appointments.
We are looking for someone who understands how important the front desk is to the success of a dental practice and to every patient's experience. The right person is organized, dependable, warm with patients, excellent with technology, detail-oriented, and someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities.
We value excellent people and are prepared to offer excellent compensation for the right candidate, based on experience and demonstrated ability.

- Learn new systems and software quickly
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Are confident and professional on the telephone
- Understand dental scheduling and how to maintain a productive schedule
- Are comfortable dealing with dental insurance, estimates, pre-determinations and patient accounts
- Can confidently explain treatment, fees and financial arrangements to patients
- Are organized and able to manage several priorities without becoming overwhelmed
- Notice problems and take initiative to solve them
- Follow through on tasks rather than waiting to be reminded
- Are reliable, punctual and accountable
- Treat patients and coworkers with kindness and respect
- Take pride in doing things properly and accurately
- Genuinely enjoy working in dentistry and helping patients
Experience with ClearDent is an asset, but strong computer skills and the ability to learn quickly are equally important.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Your responsibilities will include patient communication, answering and managing telephone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing recalls and unscheduled treatment, coordinating treatment, processing insurance information and pre-determinations, collecting and explaining patient balances, maintaining an organized and productive schedule, and helping ensure that patients receive excellent service from their first phone call through completion of treatment.
This position requires someone who can see what needs to be done and take ownership of getting it done.
What We Offer
We believe that exceptional employees should be recognized and compensated accordingly.
We offer:
- Excellent compensation based on experience and ability
- A professional and respectful working environment
- A modern dental practice
- An opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility
- Long-term growth for someone who demonstrates strong ability, commitment and leadership
- A team that values patient care, professionalism and doing things well
Please Apply Only If...
You have genuine dental administrative experience, are highly comfortable with computers and technology, and are looking for a position where you can contribute—not simply show up for a shift.
We are particularly interested in candidates who want to find the right dental office for the long term and who take personal pride in their work.
How to Apply
Please submit your résumé along with a short written response to the following three questions:
1. How many years of dental reception/administration experience do you have, and which dental software programs have you used?
2. A patient calls upset because their insurance did not cover as much of their treatment as they expected. How would you handle the conversation?
3. Tomorrow's schedule suddenly has two significant openings. What steps would you take?
Please answer the questions in your own words. We are much more interested in understanding how you think and communicate than receiving a perfect answer.
Applications that do not include responses to the three questions may not be considered.
If you are someone who is reliable, capable, caring, technologically confident and genuinely takes pride in helping a dental office succeed, we would be very happy to hear from you.
