Overview
Mountain Fire Foods is looking for an experienced, highly organized Head Catering Chef to lead the day-to-day operation of our busy catering kitchen.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position for a confident chef who can manage a fast-paced production kitchen, lead a strong team, maintain consistently high standards, and keep multiple catering events moving smoothly from prep to service.
Our ideal candidate is calm under pressure, exceptionally organized and willing to lead from the front. You understand that running a successful catering kitchen requires more than great cooking—it takes thoughtful planning, clear communication, strong systems and the ability to adapt quickly when the unexpected happens.

- Troubleshoot operational challenges and make sound decisions under pressure

- Ability to read event sheets, plan production and manage overlapping deadlines
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of kitchen operations
- A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to perform physically demanding kitchen work, including standing for extended periods and safely lifting up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays when events require it
- Valid food-safety certification or willingness to obtain one
