Key Responsibilities & Expectations
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment.
- Engage comfortably in friendly conversation and small talk.
- Be knowledgeable about our everyday and seasonal flavours, including tasting notes and key ingredients.
- Confidently offer samples and help customers choose flavours.
- Communicate clearly and positively, even during busy periods.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and know when to involve a Shift Lead or Manager.
- Look for small opportunities to go above and beyond and Scoop Happiness.
Technical SkillsBanter Value: Making Remarkable Ice Cream
Consistency and attention to detail matter. Every scoop, cone, and customer experience should reflect the quality of Banter.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
- Consistently portion ice cream according to Banter's scoop-sizing standards.
- Make consistent, high-quality waffle cones.
- Confidently operate up to four waffle cone makers at once.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy workspace throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen procedures.
- Confidently operate Square for everyday transactions.
- Use Square to search for past transactions when needed.
- Accurately handle payments, gift cards, discounts, and other basic transactions.
- Complete opening and closing checklists confidently and thoroughly.
- Restock products and supplies before they run out.
- Complete routine tasks without needing to be asked.
- Follow Banter's recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
