Position Overview
The Junior Designer supports the design team in creating engaging tradeshow exhibits, branded environments, and experiential marketing activations. Working under the guidance of senior designers, this role assists with concept development, 3D modeling, renderings, graphic templates, and production drawings while gaining hands-on experience throughout the design and fabrication process.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented designer looking to develop their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Support
- Assist in developing creative concepts for tradeshow exhibits, branded environments, and experiential activations.
- Help translate client briefs into functional and visually engaging design solutions.
- Research design trends, materials, and inspiration to support project development.
3D Modeling & Renderings
- Create and modify 3D models and renderings for client presentations.
- Revise designs based on internal feedback and client direction.
- Assist with preparing presentation materials and design documentation.
Graphic Templates & Production Files
- Prepare graphic templates and artwork layouts for large-format printing.
- Assist in creating production drawings and fabrication documentation.
- Ensure artwork is accurate and aligns with structural requirements and client brand standards.
Collaboration
- Work closely with senior designers, project managers, and production teams throughout project development.
- Participate in design reviews and team meetings.
- Communicate project updates and respond to design revisions in a timely manner.
Professional Development
- Learn fabrication methods, materials, and production processes used in custom exhibit construction.
- Continuously develop technical and creative design skills through mentorship and hands-on project experience.
- Help maintain design standards, file organization, and design library resources.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Exhibit Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of professional design experience (co-op or internship experience is considered an asset).
- Proficiency with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3ds Max, or similar programs.
- Strong visual design, layout, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction in a collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Interest in experiential marketing, exhibits, retail environments, or custom fabrication is considered an asset.

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
