Position Overview
CIMtech Green Energy is seeking a highly driven, technically capable, and results-oriented Business Development Engineer to lead strategic company growth through aggressive client acquisition, OEM partnership development, and high-value manufacturing sales.
This is a senior-level revenue-generating role designed for an individual who understands advanced manufacturing environments and has a proven history of developing large customer relationships, securing production contracts, and driving significant annual sales growth.
This role is best suited for a high-performing manufacturing sales professional with strong engineering knowledge and demonstrated success generating substantial business growth within precision manufacturing or technical industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify, target, and secure new manufacturing opportunities across aerospace, defense, automotive, marine, industrial, and clean energy sectors
- Aggressively develop and manage a strong pipeline of qualified high-value opportunities
- Generate new business through strategic prospecting, networking, relationship development, cold outreach, and industry engagement
- Lead the complete sales cycle from initial contact through technical consultation, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure
- Secure long-term production programs, prototype-to-production partnerships, and recurring manufacturing agreements
- Meet or exceed aggressive annual revenue and growth targets
- Drive substantial company expansion through acquisition of new OEM and industrial clients
Technical Sales & Manufacturing Solutions
- Develop a deep understanding of CIMtech’s manufacturing capabilities, production processes, and technical advantages
- Translate customer drawings, CAD models, specifications, and production requirements into manufacturable solutions
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) guidance to optimize cost, lead time, scalability, and production efficiency
- Collaborate closely with engineering, estimating, and production teams to ensure technical feasibility and successful execution
- Confidently communicate manufacturing solutions to engineering teams, procurement leaders, and executive stakeholders
Manufacturing Capabilities Include:
- 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining
- Tight-tolerance precision machining
- Injection molding and plastics manufacturing
- Fabrication, welding, and complex assemblies
- Rapid prototyping and 3D printing
- End-to-end production and quality assurance systems
Relationship & Partnership Development
- Build long-term relationships with engineering managers, procurement leaders, and executives
- Establish strategic partnerships with OEMs and product companies
- Position CIMtech as a “bridge manufacturer” supporting clients from prototype to scale
- Maintain ongoing communication to identify expansion opportunities and repeat business
Market Expansion & Industry Positioning
- Identify emerging opportunities in:
- Hydrogen fuel cells & electrolyzers
- Clean energy systems
- Aerospace and defense manufacturing
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Represent CIMtech at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
Proposal Development & Commercial Strategy
- Develop detailed, competitive proposals aligned with technical requirements and profitability targets
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate costing and timelines
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term agreements
- Structure deals that support scalable production and recurring revenue
Internal Collaboration & Execution
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and leadership teams
- Ensure smooth handoff from sales to project execution
- Support continuous improvement by feeding customer insights into operations
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Or equivalent technical discipline
Experience
5–10+ years in:
- Business development and/or technical sales
- Advanced manufacturing or precision machining environments
- Proven success closing high-value B2B contracts
- Direct experience within CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing environments is required.
Technical Knowledge (Required)
Strong understanding of:
- CNC machining processes and capabilities
- Manufacturing tolerances, materials, and production methods
- Sub-assembly integration and production scaling
- Engineering drawings
- CAD models and technical specifications
- DFM principles
- NPI (New Product Introduction) processes
- Lean manufacturing and cost optimization
Sales & Business Skills
Demonstrated ability to:
- Generate leads and build a sales pipeline
- Close complex, technical deals
- Negotiate contracts and pricing
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to sell value-driven solutions, not just pricing

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
