Position Summary
RBG Security Inc. is currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Supervisor to join our team at Woodside Square Shopping Centre in Scarborough.
This is an existing vacancy supporting the day-to-day security operations at a busy retail shopping centre. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing site operations while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for tenants, shoppers, contractors, and visitors. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and previous experience working in commercial or retail security.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day supervision of security operations and support the Site Supervisor.
- Lead by example while ensuring all site policies, procedures, and post orders are followed.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the shopping centre.
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, alarms, and customer service requests.
- Provide professional customer service to tenants, shoppers, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist with coordinating emergency response procedures and liaise with emergency services when required.
- Complete accurate daily logs, incident reports, occurrence reports, and shift handover notes.
- Report hazards, maintenance issues, and safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with training and mentoring security personnel as directed.
- Ensure a professional appearance and positive representation of RBG Security Inc. at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Previous experience in commercial, retail, shopping centre, or corporate security.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in the security industry is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong report writing abilities.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
