Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a Cloud and Infrastructure Administrator for a permanent position within the Cloud and Infrastructure team. The role reports to the Cloud and Infrastructure Team Leader and supports daily cloud and infrastructure operations with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, backup and recovery, automation, monitoring, and secure service delivery. The role works closely with infrastructure, application, security, service desk, vendor and global teams to keep services reliable, secure and well documented, while also supporting new cloud service requests, operational improvements and project delivery.
You will be focusing on:
- Provide day-to-day administration and third-level support for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, physical servers, virtual infrastructure, backup platforms, and monitoring services.
- Provision, configure and support Azure platform services such as virtual machines, storage accounts, App Services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Automation Accounts, Key Vault, Managed Identities and related Azure services.
- Support cloud service requests from application and business teams, including reviewing requirements, coordinating approvals, provisioning resources and helping ensure solutions follow security and operational standards.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online services, including mailboxes, shared mailboxes, resource mailboxes, distribution groups, mail-enabled security groups, mailbox permissions, mail flow, connectors, transport rules and message tracing.
- Support Entra ID and identity-related administration, including application registrations, enterprise applications, managed identities, SSO configurations, certificates and access reviews where required.
- Support hybrid infrastructure services including Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, file services, virtualization platforms and related on-premises services.
- Monitor service health, performance, capacity, backup status, alerts, restore readiness and infra events.
- Investigate and resolve incidents involving cloud services, messaging, identity, backup, servers, cloud networking, application integrations and infrastructure platforms.
- Administer, monitor and validate backup and recovery services for Microsoft 365, Azure workloads, on-premises servers, virtual infrastructure and file services.
- Maintain and improve cloud security and governance controls, including least-privilege access, RBAC, Privileged Identity Management, Azure Policy, secure storage, private connectivity and logging.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts, Azure Automation runbooks and repeatable automation for reporting, administration, monitoring, backup validation, cleanup and operational tasks.
- Support Azure DevOps repositories, source control practices, deployment coordination and infrastructure automation (IaC) where required.
- Maintain technical documentation in ServiceNow, operational runbooks, support procedures, change records, design notes, and disaster recovery documentation.
- Follow change control, incident management, problem management, request fulfillment, security and ITIL-aligned operational support processes.
- Participate in project work, service onboarding, technical reviews, after-hours maintenance windows, deployment activities and on-call support as required.
What you bring to the role:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, Azure services, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise Microsoft Azure environments and core platform services.
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online services in an enterprise environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, application registrations, enterprise applications, managed identities, SSO, certificates, secrets and role-based access.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and hybrid infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, file services, virtualization platforms and related operational services.
- Experience with backup and recovery technologies for Microsoft 365, Azure workloads, servers, virtual infrastructure, and file services.
- Working knowledge of cloud security, including least-privilege access, RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Azure Policy, logging, encryption, secure storage and immutable backup.
- Experience with Azure PowerShell modules, Exchange Online PowerShell, Microsoft Graph PowerShell, Azure Automation or similar automation tools.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, source control, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident, change and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting Azure application integrations using Microsoft Graph API, OAuth, SAML, OIDC, managed identities, service principals, Key Vault, certificates or client secrets.
- Familiarity with cloud governance standards, CIS benchmarks, Azure Policy, vulnerability remediation and secure deployment practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot cloud, messaging, identity, backup, server, application integration and infrastructure issues in a practical and structured way.
- Ability to balance daily operational support, project work, incidents, change requests and documentation in a busy enterprise environment.
- Strong documentation, task organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors and global colleagues.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Messaging Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer or equivalent.
Interview process:
The interview will be conducted in person and may last up to one hour. It is designed as a hands-on practical assessment, where we will provide a series of scenarios for the candidate to implement and troubleshoot in real time. The format is like the lab sections of Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-500, and AZ-700. The candidate will be given access to an Azure environment and will be expected to configure and implement solutions based on the scenarios provided. This approach allows us to assess both technical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills in a real-world Azure environment.

The salary bands provided reflect the typical range for this role in the region indicated. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of experiences and skills, and final compensation will be thoughtfully determined based on individual qualifications and current market factors. Please note that salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview.
