We are currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our team at our Calgary, Alberta location.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of parts and equipment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine shipping methods and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documentation.
- Assemble containers and crates, package goods, and prepare shipping labels and instructions.
- Coordinate and oversee the loading and unloading of shipments.
- Receive incoming goods and verify quantities and condition against invoices and packing slips.
- Record shortages, discrepancies, and damaged goods as necessary.
- Unpack and distribute inventory to appropriate storage locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records within internal systems.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Support warehouse and parts department operations as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2 to 3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience (required).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
- Demonstrated initiative and a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
