Allied Universal is seeking professional and highly motivated Security Supervisor to join our Security Operations team in Vancouver, British Columbia supporting a Government of Canada contract.
This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, thrive in fast-paced operational environments, and are committed to delivering exceptional security services. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergency communications, responding to incidents, and maintaining situational awareness while adhering to Government of Canada security protocols and established operational procedures.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, exercises sound judgment under pressure, and demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Applicants must have resided continuously in Canada for a minimum of five (5) years.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Security Clearance. An existing Reliability Status or Secret Security Clearance is considered a strong asset.
Position Details
Position: Security Supervisor - Government Site
Location: Surrey, British Columbia
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $23 - $24 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 0830 - 1630

Supervise Security Guards and oversee daily shift operations.

Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm, and intrusion detection systems.

Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.

Dispatch security personnel and coordinate incident response.

Prepare incident reports, shift logs, and operational documentation.

Ensure compliance with site procedures and Government security protocols.

Conduct shift briefings, provide guidance, and support staff performance.

Communicate effectively with site management, Government representatives, and emergency responders
Required Qualifications:

Valid BC Security Guard Licence.

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years in order to obtain a Reliability Government Clearance

Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Reliable transportation to work at multiple sites within Winnipeg

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications

Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Valid First Aid and CPR certification.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a government, critical infrastructure, or corporate security environment.

Experience operating CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and incident management systems.

Emergency communications or dispatch experience

Existing Government of Canada Reliability Status or Secret Security Clearance.
