Position Overview
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our software development team. In this role, you will work alongside and collaborate with another QA Analyst to support our developers in testing new features, bug fixes, and product improvements.
You don’t need deep QA experience, we can teach you. What matters most is your curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. This role is a great fit if you enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with developers, and contributing to products that are used by energy and field operations teams across Canada and internationally.
What You’ll Do
- Design and execute test plans to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues in software applications, databases, and other AbaData products.
- Conduct manual testing across various functionalities and platforms.
- Write clear and concise test cases and bug reports, including detailed descriptions of the issue, steps to reproduce, and expected results.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues efficiently.
- Participate in the development lifecycle by providing constructive feedback and suggesting improvements to product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of testing activities.
What we're looking for
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft products.

Experience in software testing or a similar role.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
