A Bread Affair is a certified organic artisan bakery located on Granville Island and Langley. Rooted in community, agriculture, and the Pacific coast, our baking reflects the unique combination of soil, climate, and craft that defines Vancouver. We are not a French bakery or an Italian bakery. We are of this place, Vancouver.
Our work is grounded in West Coast values: sustainability, responsible sourcing, and certified organic ingredients. We stand against industrial food production, GMOs, and factory farming, and support humane and ethical practices in everything we do.

We are looking for enthusiastic Front of House/Farmer's Market Team Lead to join us for our busy spring and summer season across the Greater Vancouver area as well as support our Granville Island operations. This is a full-time role with 5 shifts per week, on weekends, with start times as early as 6:30 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and take down market displays, tents, and bread products.
- Drive a company vehicle to and from assigned farmers markets (Class 5 driver’s license required).
- Engage warmly with customers, share product knowledge, and offer samples.
- Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash and card transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels throughout the market day and report sellouts or issues.
- Support promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Keep the booth clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
- Represent A Bread Affair with professionalism and enthusiasm in every interaction.
Requirements:
- Available to work 5 days a week on weekends and weekdays.
- Early morning start times.
- FoodSafe certification preferred.
- Leadership experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage time well.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs (20 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Pay: $19.56 per hour
