The Opportunity
The Loss Prevention Administrator provides day-to-day administrative and operational support in coordinating, tracking and processing inspections to reduce claim frequency and severity, supporting the overall financial performance of Nova Mutual.
This position ensures that inspection requests are handled efficiently, reports are accurate and timely, and communication between Nova Mutual teams, field inspectors, and policy holders is smooth and professional. It requires strong organizational skills, professional phone etiquette, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The role holder would be required to work from our Jarvis office 2-3 times weekly.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, review, and assign loss inspection requests to appropriate loss prevention inspectors while optimizing travel routes and inspector workloads

Monitor the progress of inspection assignments to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met

Collect, review and upload inspection reports, photos and supporting documents into company system (MIRA360, Cognition + and CHRP)

Review and distribute Risk Improvement Reports on behalf of Nova and follow up on requirements within established timeframes

Collaborate with underwriters, loss prevention inspectors, claims adjusters, brokers, and agents and policy holders to support timely resolution of inspection findings.

Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives loss prevention processes Participate in quarterly cross-functional meetings to support continuous improvement of loss prevention and processes

Provide onsite administrative support for the Jarvis office during in-office days
Qualifications

Education in Insurance or a related field of study

1-3 years of experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or inspection coordination

Previous experience in scheduling and/or cold calling is considered an asset

Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively while managing multiple tasks

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Demonstrated excellence in customer service

Knowledge of insurance or loss control processes

Proficiency in software applications specific to the role is an advantage – MIRA360, CHRP, Cognition+, and Microsoft Office

Ability to work from Jarvis office 2-3 days each week
