- Support preconstruction services, including cost plans, preliminary budgets, and value-engineering proposals.
- Solicit and analyze pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to help ensure complete coverage across all scope areas.
- Build productive relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients while representing LAURIN professionally in the Ottawa market.
- Maintain current databases of labour rates, material pricing, subcontractor information, and historical project costs.
- Assist in calculating general expenses and preparing recommendations related to fees and margins.
- Prepare clear summaries of key issues and participate actively in estimate review meetings.
- Participate in bid closings, helping ensure submissions are accurate, complete, timely, and competitive.
- Support post-tender activities, including clarifications, supplemental submissions, and negotiations.
- Help identify potential project leads through market awareness and relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Continue developing a strong understanding of the Ottawa construction market, including local trade capacity, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
