About Chromium Guard
Chromium Guard Inc. is a PSISA-licensed concierge-security firm serving residential and commercial properties across the Greater Toronto Area. We built the company on a simple premise: security and hospitality are not separate disciplines — the best protection is delivered with the same care, professionalism, and attentiveness as five-star service. Every member of our team is expected to operate to the Chromium Standard: Commitment, Hospitality, Responsibility, Ownership, Mastery, Integrity, Uniqueness, and Momentum.
The Role
The Security Operations Supervisor is the operational backbone of Chromium Guard — the person who keeps every assigned site covered, every guard supported, and every client informed, around the clock. You will run day-to-day operations end to end: building and defending the schedule, leading and developing the guard team, keeping Post Orders and procedures current, and acting as the first point of escalation for anything that happens outside normal business hours. This is a hands-on operational leadership role, not a desk job — you will be on-site, on the phone, and occasionally back in uniform covering a shift yourself when the schedule demands it.
Responsibilities
Scheduling & Dispatch
- Build, publish, and maintain the guard schedule across all assigned sites, ensuring continuous 24-hour, 7-day-a-week coverage with no gaps.
- Act as the primary dispatch contact for coverage issues, call-ins, no-shows, and last-minute changes — including outside of standard business hours.
- Personally cover shifts when no other coverage option is available, in accordance with scheduled hours and ESA requirements.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and post compliance across all sites and address gaps directly with staff.
Post Orders & Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain, review, and update Post Orders and site-specific Standard Operating Procedures in coordination with property management.
- Draft internal memoranda and shift briefing notes communicating procedural or policy changes to guard staff.
- Conduct in-person site audits and foot-patrol spot checks to verify Post Order and SOP compliance.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Serve as the primary day-to-day operational liaison with property managers, condominium boards, and site stakeholders.
- Attend recurring client operations meetings and represent Chromium Guard's on-site performance.
- Prepare monthly operational reports, incident summaries, and site performance updates for clients.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client concerns, service requests, and escalations.
Staff Supervision, Hiring & Training
- Supervise, coach, and formally evaluate the performance of assigned Security Guards.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring of new Security Guards alongside company leadership.
- Deliver onboarding, orientation, and site-specific Post Order training for new hires.
- Conduct new-hire performance evaluations and probationary reviews.
- Document and administer progressive discipline in accordance with company policy, including issuing written warnings.
- Support delivery of ongoing professional development and refresher training for the guard team.
Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all assigned staff comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the company's Health & Safety Policy.
- Investigate and document workplace incidents, near-misses, and health and safety concerns, escalating as required.
- Track and ensure all Security Guards maintain current Ontario Security Guard Licences, First Aid/CPR certification, and any other required credentials.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA) and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Administrative & Payroll Support
- Review and approve guard timesheets and schedules for payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate personnel files, training records, and licensing documentation.
- Track uniform, equipment, and supply inventory for assigned sites and flag reorder needs.
- Provide input into site-level operational budgets in partnership with company leadership.
