Armtec Inc. has the following career opportunity in GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA:
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a hardworking team? We're looking for a Yard Associate to help keep our operations running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you'll work with forklifts, mobile equipment, and production teams to move materials, prepare customer orders, and maintain an organized yard.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting production, ensuring products are shipped accurately, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and enjoy physical, team-oriented work, we'd like to hear from you.

Perform product preparation tasks such as cutting bevels, palletizing pipe, rolling couplers, and arch pipe as required.

Operate hand tools and various equipment including plasma cutter, steel chop saw, MIG welder, recorrugator, electrical saws, and nail gun

Support the Shipper/Receiver to safely move finished products and work-in-progress materials throughout the yard using forklifts.

Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock locations.

Perform daily equipment inspections and basic servicing in accordance with company procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, including removing debris, scrap, and keeping traffic lanes clear.

High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.

Experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, warehouse, or outdoor yard environments is considered an asset.

Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support teammates.

Basic math skills and the ability to work with metric and imperial measurements.

Ability to read work instructions and complete basic documentation.

Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify potential equipment issues.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physically capable of performing manual labour, lifting materials, operating equipment, and standing or walking for extended periods.

Forklift certification, or the willingness and ability to obtain certification.
