Your Future Role
We are seeking a Billing Technician to join our accounting team in Montreal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, possesses strong Excel skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Process monthly billing for active client matters;
Prepare client invoices in accordance with billing arrangements and applicable requirements;
Monitor accounts pending billing and distribute invoices electronically;
Follow up on payments and assist with collection activities;
Resolve billing-related issues and make the necessary corrections (rate discrepancies, time adjustments, write-offs, transfers of time or disbursements, etc.);
Prepare various monthly reports and tracking spreadsheets;
Update and make required adjustments to client files and matters;
Assist with various related administrative and accounting tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

2+ years of experience in billing or administration, preferably within a professional services firm or corporate environment;
College diploma (DEC) in Accounting or equivalent education in a related field;
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English*;
Ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members;
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills;
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work independently while collaborating effectively with others;
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Assets

Experience in a professional services firm;
Knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Clio.

*English is required to serve external clients and business partners and to prepare client-facing documentation; French remains the primary working language.
