The Opportunity
This is a sales role at its core. You'll be the person who turns a routine eye exam into an exceptional retail experience — someone who listens, connects, and confidently guides clients toward eyewear they love. What You'll Be Doing
- Drive optical sales by helping clients select frames and lenses that fit their style, lifestyle, and prescription needs — and making the process genuinely enjoyable.
- Build rapport quickly and create loyal, returning clients who ask for you by name.
- Upsell lens enhancements, coatings, and premium products with confidence and authenticity.
- Take accurate frame measurements (PD, lens height, wrap, pantoscopic tilt, etc.) to ensure every pair fits perfectly.
- Manage the full sales process from frame selection through order entry in our practice management software.
- Handle third-party insurance billing and educate clients on their coverage.
- Manage frame, contact lens, and dry eye product inventory.
- Conduct pretesting using modern diagnostic equipment to keep clinic flow smooth and efficient.
- Educate clients on contact lens wear, care, and hygiene.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Take initiative — you spot what needs doing and you do it, without being asked.

- A proven track record in sales, retail, or client-facing roles — optical experience is a strong asset, but the right sales instincts matter most.
- A genuine connector: warm, engaging, and skilled at reading what a client needs.
- An eye for fashion and aesthetics — you care how you look and love helping others find their look.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and energized by a fast-paced environment.
- Superb attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Licensed Opticians and Canadian Certified Optometric Assistants (CCOA) will be given preference.
